A VISIT TO BRADFORD SIKH GURDWARA
Wednesday, 17 September, 2014
Following the talk on Sikh Religion and Culture which we had earlier in the year (Thursday, 8 May, 2014) we were invited to visit two Gurdwaras.
Following the visits we were invited to stay there for Langar (lunch).
This was traditional, simple Punjabi food provided as a normal part of Sikh hospitality.
(If you were not too keen on spicy food you could bring a sandwich to eat on the coach.)
A full coachload of members travelled to Bradford, and . . . .
. . . .we were met by Mohinder Singh Chana
. . . . and his colleague . . .
We all covered our heads whilst inside the Gurdwara,
where we heard the holy words being read during our tour of the building.
We were then invited to join members of the Gurdwara
for a delicious traditional lunch (Langar).
A most interesting and enlightening visit . . . . .
